Day 774 – #53 Knit a scarf

19 02 2012

Here it is!  My fabulous, very warm scarf.  Beautifully modelled by Pedro I think you’ll agree.

This is the first thing that I’ve knitted from start to finish on my own.  It took me a while to get started and I couldn’t understand why I kept gaining stitches.  However, once I’d realised that I was knitting the stringy bits hanging off the yarn as well as the yarn itself, I did a lot better!

I wore it out today for the first time and I love it!  Expect to see a lot more of this scarf….

Day 711 – #61 Complete 3 cross stitch pictures

18 12 2011

I know that these two add to up to a total of 4 cross stitch pictures finished.  I started the dachshund picture yonks ago and it kept getting interrupted by doing pictures for my neice & nephews (total 6 so far…) and this year was no exception.  This time it got put off again by doing a birth sampler for my friend Rachel.  This is the Eeyore picture.  However, I have *finally* got my lovely dachshund finished.  Just have to get him framed now…

Day 605 – #66 Complete a colouring book

3 09 2011

As you can see, this is one of the more childish entries on my 101 list!  So I thought I’d go the whole hog and have some fun with it.  I found this Hanna Barbera colouring book on ebay and bought it.  There are some great pictures in here including characters from The Wacky Races, Top Cat, Yogi Bear etc.  Great fun!  I’ve done about 3 of them so far and think I may have to buy some more felt tip pens!

Day 175 – #61 Complete 3 cross-stitch projects

28 06 2010

This is the second of my cross stitch projects.  I worked like a demon to get this one finished in time for Meghan’s birthday and it’s come out pretty well.  After stitching for 5 nephews it was really nice to stitch something girly for once!

Day 111 – #61 Complete 3 Cross stitch pictures

25 04 2010

First cross stitch picture completed.  This is for my nephew Tyler for his 2nd birthday which is tomorrow (nothing like leaving it til the last minute!!)

He adores Timmy Time on the TV and this is the closest thing I could find for him.  Hopefully he’ll like it.  I certainly enjoyed stitching it 🙂
